WINTER IN NASSFELD-TRÖPOLACH
Wintertime Nassfeld-Tröpolach offers everything that can be expected from a first-rate resort—nothing has been left to chance. The Nassfeld ski resort offers 110 km worth of pistes, 30 modern cableways, and most importantly, guaranteed snow throughout the winter. The Nassfeld ski site has a separate area for children—no need for you to worry about what will happen when your tots give their first piste a try. Skis for cross-country skiing, a snowboard park, ice-skates, sledges, and equipment for other activities are available everywhere.

The nearby town of Hermagor is the Austrian capital of bacon and celebrates it each year early in June at a local festival. There, you can not only sample Gailtal bacon, but also buy some, along with cheeses, hams, and other delicacies produced by local farms. The regional farms are renowned all over Austria, and are open to any guest who visits the region in summer.
